Xiaochao Zhou

Xiaochao was born on 25th Nov. 1990 in Nanjing, China. He obtained his B.S. degree on Applied Physics at Southeast University (SEU) in 2013. In 2015, he started a MD-PhD program to pursue a Ph.D in Physics in SEU under the supervision of Prof. Ya Zhai. Now, he is a joint Ph.D student from SEU and University Paris-Sud, carrying out his research at C2N under the supervision of Nicolas Vernier and Dafiné Ravelosona.

His research interests are domain wall motion in nano/micro-wires and magnetization dynamics in thin films. The facilities he uses most for measurements are LMOKE, Kerr Imaging System, VSM, FMR, SEM. For device fabrication he uses sputtering and microfabrication techniques. He is also good at performing micromagnetic simulations to assist his experimental work.
